Non-urgent advice: Extended Access

GP Extra

We are pleased to be able to tell you that you can now also get a GP appointment in the evenings up to 9pm and on Saturdays if the weekday times aren’t convenient for you or if you would rather be seen at other times.

Your medical condition does not need to be urgent – just ask our Care Navigators to arrange a convenient appointment for you with GP Extra (GPX) at the Heath Road Practice.

You will be seen by an experienced Doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This may not be somebody from Murdishaw Health Centre, although some of our health professionals are working additional hours for the GPX service. The GPX clinicians have full access to patient records from all Halton Practices, so you will be able to get a full consultation and any other care you might need.

We are keen to get your opinion about this new services, so please don’t forget to leave Friends and Family Test feedback or let us know how you find the service next time you talk to us.
